เพราะอะไร?
ก็เพราะ เราไม่เคยไม่ถูกฝึกให้พูดและให้เขียนมาตั้งแต่เนิ่นๆ การพูดและเขียน แบบคิดวิเคราะห์ แสดงความคิด จึงยังเป็นสิ่งที่ยากสำหรับหลายๆคน ยิ่งต้องพูดและเขียนในเวลาที่จำกัดอีก ยิ่งกังวลเข้าไปใหญ่
ทำไมเราถึงพูดและเขียนยังไม่ได้ละ?
ปัจจัยหลักๆ ที่จะทำให้การพูดและเขียนเป็นอุปสรรค มีอยู่ไม่กี่อย่าง หนึ่งในนั้นคือการที่เรารู้คำศัพท์ไม่มากพอนั่นเอง พอไม่รู้ศัพท์ ก็ยากจะอธิบายความคิด เรียบเรียงออกมาเป็นคำพูด ประโยคที่ออกมา ไม่สมบูรณ์และไม่สวยงาม
หรือบางที คำศัพท์ ที่เราใช้ ก็ยังไม่ดีพอที่จะทำให้ examiner ประทับใจเราได้ ศัพท์ยังง่ายเกินไป communicative เกินไป แและดูไม่ academic นั่นเอง
